Turtle Creek Coffee offers only decaffeinated coffees created using the Swiss Water Process. This is a 100% chemical free process, generally agreed upon to be the cleanest, most pure way to decaffeinate coffee. The Swiss Water process uses only water, while most other processes use chemical solvents, like methylene chloride, to decaffeinate their beans. While the United States standard is 97% caffeine removal, the Swiss Water Process lives up to the higher standard of 99.92% caffeine removal. Slightly more expensive than other methods, but we at Turtle Creek Coffee think it is worth it.
